Reasons for this blog

My reason for creating this blog is at least two fold. One, is for me and my husband to be able to record thoughts and activities throughout our normal days so that in days, weeks or months from now we can look back at those thoughts or activities and say "Hey! Look what God did"! So, the first reason is for the glory of God and to further our trust in his providence. Secondly, we hope that this site will promote new relationships and build upon the ones we already have. We wanted a place to share what is going on in our lives with the people we don't see everyday. So, in the thought of those two reasons...

Today has been a very prosperous day. I was unexpectedly given today off (I really did not want to take the day off..We are in seminary) but today has been such a prosperous day of work at home. I was able to get many chores done and since I did that my husband was able to get more done in his studies. So, I am thankful for God providing even in ways that I didn't think needed provision.
Here is a recent picture of us from July of this year. It is at Brandon's parents mountain home in Maggie Valley, NC. There is a beautifully trickling stream that runs through the back yard, which also is right along side a picturesque mountain. It is a very peaceful getaway.
